Periscope¶

Periscope is Internet2's new platform for managing, troubleshooting, and visualizing network resources.

Periscope is new and growing. Today, it includes:

Looking Glass — check network device status and run diagnostic commands, without needing direct access to the devices themselves.

Moving on from Insight Console¶

Periscope is intended to replace Insight Console, our existing platform for these tools. For now, Insight Console is still the primary, fully supported tool — Periscope is a prototype we're actively building out.

As Periscope reaches feature parity with Insight Console, we'll share updates here about when and how to switch over.
