Periscope¶

Periscope is Internet2's platform for network engineering tools. It's where our team can look up device status, run diagnostics, and troubleshoot the network — all in one place.

Periscope is new and growing. Today, it includes:

• Looking Glass — check network device status and run diagnostic commands, without needing direct access to the devices themselves.

Moving on from Insight Console¶

Periscope is intended to replace Insight Console, our existing platform for these tools. For now, Insight Console is still the primary, fully supported tool — Periscope is a prototype we're actively building out.

As Periscope reaches feature parity with Insight Console, we'll share updates here about when and how to switch over.
